The department "Central Services" is responsible for the cross-section tasks of the Landesarchiv. These are non archival tasks which occur in all parts of civil service administration. The administrative work covers central services, such as finances, staff, law, organisation and information and communication technology and electronic services.
The field of activity in finances includes the responsibility for the budget as well as the business management cost accounting and controlling. The staff domain includes all aspects of personnel administration as well as the basic and advanced training of archival staff. The law domain covers all legal or judicial questions apart from archival ones. The staff dealing with organisation is responsible for the allocation of duties and the internal work flow as well as the housing of the Landesarchiv and the appropriate furnishing and equipment of the buildings. The staff of information technology and digital services provides the necessary expertise and equipment for data processing and information technology, including procedures for electronic data processing supporting archival tasks and the running and further development of electronic information systems and online-presentations of the Landesarchiv. A coordination office for digitization supports and harmonizes the activities in the field of digitization and online-presentation of the archival material.
