Prof. Dr. Gerald Maier, President of the Landesarchiv Baden-Württemberg.

The president is the head of the Landesarchiv Baden-Württemberg (State Archives of Baden-Wuerttemberg).

He is responsible for the main focus and strategy of the Landesarchiv.

The president is concerned with the subject of archive management internationally and throughout the whole of Germany and represents the Landesarchiv externally. He is a member of the Conference of Archive Experts (Konferenz der Leiterinnen und Leiter der Archivverwaltungen des Bundes und der Länder) of the Federal State of Germany and the Länder and coordinates any participation in international and German federal state bodies.

The president of the Landesarchiv is Prof. Dr. Gerald Maier, his deputy is Dr. Nicole Bickhoff, head of the department Hauptstaatsarchiv Stuttgart.

The staff unit of the president supports him and also acts as the Landesarchiv's press office.
