Department 2 is a decision-making department whose expertise and judgement have an impact on the work and co-ordination of all the other departments of the Landesarchiv. Its area of responsibility covers - apart from preservation - the whole archival spectrum like the acquisition of paper and digital documents, outreach programmes, protection of archives as historic monuments and cultural assets, law and publications.
