The Staatsarchiv is housed in the "hospital" part of the former monastery Bronnbach. Bronnbach is situated in the Taubertal 9 km upstream from Wertheim. Trains and busses between Tauberbischofsheim and Wertheim are stopping there. Parking facilities are available at the Archives behind the former church of the monastery.

Reading and printing facilities for microfiche and microfilm, a facility (Antiskop) for viewing macrofiches as well as a PC for database research and an Internet connection are available in the reading room.
