The Department Staatsarchiv Sigmaringen is responsible for the agencies, law courts and other institutions of the land which have their seat in the governmental district (Regierungsbezirk) Tübingen as well as for the regional agencies of the Federal Republic in the district Tübingen (under § 2,3 of the Bundesarchivgesetz from January 6th,1988).
